MY REVIEW

The first thing that I enjoyed about this book, was the author’s introduction. She talks about what brought her own intuitiveness to the forefront of her mind. Sharing her personal struggles that led her to test and grow her own intuition were inspiring to me. So many people (even myself) disconnect from their intuition ALL THE TIME. We’re so disconnected at times from what our bodies and souls want because we get caught up in the day-to-day struggles of life. I really enjoy that she says “This little book is here to have fun with your intuition.” It’s not some “follow these steps to get your intuition working perfectly” book. Definitely not this book at all.

The second thing I was drawn to with this book – the illustrations! The drawings by Natalie O’Brien are fantastic and fun. They are simple black & white drawings that really accentuate the simple and easy-going feel of this activity book. The illustrations are light-hearted and almost whimsical. Some are more detailed, obviously, but completely supportive of the actual text.

Third, there are simple steps and activities you can try on yourself. If you want to try more advanced activities to hone in on your intuitive skills, those are also in the book. Since there are simple steps outlined upfront, you can start small and go big on different topics that interest you or completely skip from topic to topic. From body swaying to writing to visualizations, there are entry points for everyone. There’s no need to read the book from cover to cover – you can choose to read more about the activities that actually speak to you.

I also really enjoy that none of the activities the author highlights in this book are very expensive. She doesn’t mention going to your nearest spiritual healer or anything but offers activities that use your own resources. Your body, the outdoors, simple jewelry, a crystal, or your own handwritten notes are just a few of the resources that she suggests using to tap into your own intuition.

Other parts of the book that I found particularly relatable to my own life were the sections on decluttering and cleansing the energy in my space. There’s so much to be said about the energy in our homes and offices and filling them with things that we love and removing the things that we don’t love. It always feels wonderful to declutter and move that energy out. There’s definitely a reason why that process makes us feel lighter.

  1. Nice book review! I have definitely added this to my Amazon “reading list”… I too struggle with listening to my intuition! Her story seems powerful and inspiring… can’t wait to dive in:)

    1. It’s one that can be read in sections too! Don’t feel like you have to commit to the whole thing! If there’s a section that speaks to you, read that one. If it doesn’t, skip to the next.
