If We Were Having Coffee Today…

Wow! I feel like I haven’t had a single moment to sit and write anything besides alllllll of my client work over the past few months. I got booked, blessed, and busy. I can’t complain about that, even though I’ve been GOING since October.

These posts have always been a favorite for me, but I never get to writing them nearly enough. So grab your beverage of choice and imagine we’re sitting somewhere in the sunshine having an excellent patio conversation. My beverage today is a huge cold brew with stevia and a splash of cream. Simple and easy.

Let’s dive in, shall we?

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that I’ve been feeling extremely lucky lately. Don’t worry; I still haven’t played the lottery, but lucky nonetheless. The past few months have been a series of events in divine timing. One thing fit right into the next into the next into the next – I couldn’t have planned it any better. That said, I haven’t sat down much in the last few months, but I’m not mad. I’ve luckily had the gigs come to me as I’ve needed them, and they’ve been opportunities that make me happy. I couldn’t ask for more than that right now. Being back onstage in a TYA show has been SUCH a blessing. It was the gift that I didn’t know I needed.

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you everything feels like it’s in some sort of adjustment phase. It’s not quite 2019 normal, but it’s still not a pandemic-free 2022. We’re just waffling between the two. It’s a new normal. It’s weird. I still struggle with feeling like another shoe will drop rather than being where I am at the present moment.

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you my ADHD has been kicking my booty lately. I’m REALLY good at managing time and projects because I set up robust systems and routines. But recently, even that hasn’t saved me, and most executive function is at a questionable level. Luckily, my GP and I are working on finding the right med dosage to get me back on track. So I’m highly thankful for modern medicine lately.

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that I’m thankful for sleep. I’ve been sleeping so well lately, and it’s made A HUGE DIFFERENCE. Get your rest, drink your water, move your body – it’s worth it when you do it regularly. I’ve been tracking my movement and sleep religiously with my WHOOP, and it’s a game-changer. If you’re looking to track your health stats, I’d recommend starting here.

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that I’m getting more excited to spend my summer in Maine. I’m still nailing down the exact date I’ll get out there, but it’s fast approaching. I’ve decided on what shows I’m going to do, and I’m excited to dig into that and meet my new staff members. We’re still looking for staff, so if you’ve ever wanted to come with me….;)

Now it’s YOUR TURN! What would you tell me if we were hanging out together today?

TELL ME IN THE COMMENTS: Let me know what’s new with you! I’ll be replying!
